Middle Project Manager
PROJECT OVERVIEW
This is a short-term freelance opportunity to join the PMO Team responsible for delivering projects to clients. You will work alongside colleagues with well-defined processes and strong support, across a pipeline spanning diverse business fields and multiple geographies.
About the project: A mobile platform that is reinventing football talent scouting through AI and smartphone technology. The product enables young athletes worldwide to record standardized skill exercises, get objective performance scores via AI-powered video analysis, and appear on global leaderboards — making their talent visible to professional clubs.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
Release planning with full release responsibility, including agreements with other parties;
Communication with clients and end-users;
Resolving and escalating team blockers;
Cost management and budget calculation for new projects;
Moderation of new project estimations; preparing proposals on team composition, skills, and budget;
Reporting to clients and end-users on project progress;
Scope and change request management;
Identifying, analyzing, prioritizing, mitigating, and communicating project risks.
IF YOU HAVE
3+ years of project management experience across several small or medium-sized projects with an average monthly workload of 10+ people;
Solid knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and Software Engineering Process;
Broad knowledge of project management standards across Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, and Closing phases;
Proficiency in project management tools (Jira/Confluence or similar), Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and MS Project or equivalent planning tools;
Strong proficiency in both Portuguese and English is required for effective client communication. Knowledge of German is considered an advantage;
Well-organized, highly motivated, and able to handle multiple tasks and priorities at once;
Adaptive to change, attentive to detail, and a strong team player;
Project Management certification — a plus.
